Posted : 6th March 2026 12:57 pm We are available 24 hours a day, every day of the year. Hello everyoneI joined gamstop last year for the duration of a year.
I have tried to join sites during the ban but been blocked from doing so.Roughly a week ago I got the itch. I signed up to a very popular online casino using all my details that are registered with gamstop apart from the email address. I used an old email address to sign up with. I have tried this with all the other sites but still been blocked because every other detail (d.o.b, mobile number, address etc) have tallyed up with my Gamstop details. On this occasion, however, I was successful.I'm aware that I have used a different email address and are therefore responsible for the hundreds of pounds loss that I incurred the night I joined. However the next day I felt incredible guilt and anxiety for my actions. Feelings I'd not felt for a while. I was gutted. Then I started to think about how simple it was to bypass the problem gambler security this casino has in place. All it took was a different email address. So I asked for my deposits back the next day as I felt I wasn't protected. The return of my deposits would have felt like some sort of justice to me.
| Casino Name | Primary License | Established | Player Focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| MyStake | Curacao eGaming | 2020 | International & UK |
| Rolletto | Curacao | 2020 | Crypto & Fiat |
| Gods of Fortune | Malta Gaming Authority | 2024 | UK High Rollers |
| GoldenBet | Curacao | 2022 | Sports & Casino |
| FreshBet | Curacao | 2023 | New Brands |
Mainly due to every other casino having my back whilst on the ban and denying me membership whatever email address I used.Eventually the casino got back to me after a week of investigation and lied to me. The said they wouldn't refund me because I used a different date of birth and different home address. I thought to myself that I could probably use the casino responsibly as I hadn't gambled for so long. I must have made around 14 different deposits that night of varying amounts off two different cards! The first deposit happened cas casino apps with sign up bonus no deposit and layed off it. Then a good few hours passed and the floodgates opened. The old irresponsible gambler was back.I've learnt a huge lesson from it and never want to feel the way I felt the day after again. I won't name the casino right now. A quick Google shows that they have previously incurred huge fines from not being responsible and looking out for problem gamblers. It is also an accredited casino here.Anyway, they've declined my refund and they've lied to me about providing different details. I've requested they send me the details I've signed up with as per data protection. So I'm currently awaiting their response.Oh yeah and before I joined Gamstop I had self excluded from this casino also.Anyway, I will update this thread with whatever happens. I'm aware I will get flamed for using a different email address but when you've got an itch you'll do what you can to scratch it. It's killing me seeing the deposits on my bank statement whenever I go through it so if anyone is on Gamstop, don't bother trying.
Posted : 18th April 2025 10:37 pm hi , if you install GAMBAN it will also block sites that you can still access through GAMSTOP. This is what I did and have checked a few and completely blocks access. Posted : 19th April 2025 12:02 pm I used to gamble with a crypto casino that does this very thing. I lost tens of thousands over a few years with them and after a big loss I would self exclude for 5 years only for them to send me an email saying if you change your mind contact us. Its disgusting but as they are not regulated they can get away with it.
Gamstop is the best for UK regulated sites, but i agree there needs to be something for the non-Gamstop sites. GAMBAN mentioned above seems the way to go, I will have a look into it and may do this myself. Posted : 19th April 2025 1:35 pm Gamban is the best option, but make sure you install it on every device (phones, old phones, tablets, laptops etc), don't leave any door open to get back into gambling. Posted : 19th April 2025 2:50 pm I have BetBlocker but it doesn’t seem to block these type of sites. Thanks again and hopefully we can be free of this awful addiction! I'll look to extend my Gamstop membership. Don't kid yourself and believe that you've somehow gained responsibility thru your absence on the ban. I joined gamstop last year for the duration of a year. I have tried to join sites during the ban but been blocked from doing so. Roughly a week ago I got the itch. | Provider | Specialty | Example Titles |
|---|---|---|
| NetEnt | High-Quality Slots | Starburst, Gonzo's Quest |
| Pragmatic Play | Volatile Slots & Live Casino | Gates of Olympus, Sweet Bonanza |
| Evolution | Live Dealer Games | Lightning Roulette, Crazy Time |
| Play'n GO | Mobile-First Slots | Book of Dead, Reactoonz |
| BGaming | Crypto-Friendly & Provably Fair | Plinko, Bonanza Billion |
Anyway, I will update this thread with whatever happens. I did not sign up using any other details which is different than I signed up to gamban for. Am I always going to have the possibility of registering to a UK casino? I know a few with no licenses to the UK will do this but I thought the UK companies should be unable to do this? Posted : 29th March 2019 6:53 am Does the casino have a UK Gambling Commission license? If so it should be now registered with Gamstop. I should start by contacting the casino customer support and ask them to clarify. Posted : 29th March 2019 10:00 am Yes it does run under a UKGC gambling license. I have reached out to them and all they have done is closed my account with no possibility of a refund. I asked them about gamstop and they have stated they will get gamstop but did not state when.

This website has no sister sites but it is especially dangerous for problem gamblers as someone could fail the same way I have done with no possibility of money back Posted : 29th March 2019 3:41 pm Report them to both the Gambling Commission and to Gamstop.
I did gamban and gamStop but I worked out how to get around it so I feel I have nothing that can help me. I also have ADHD and life is one big addiction. I hate this feeling of dread and shame and I have zero restraint. How do you train your brain to listen to the good side? Posted : 27th April 2025 10:49 pm I have GameStop in place but I find myself playing on non licenced, non GameStop sites.
Posted : 11th February 2026 3:15 pm I was in exactly the same position a few months ago. At the beginning I only had GAMSTOP in place and the gambling block on my bank card, but I still managed to find non-GamStop sites and deposit on them. It felt like every time I tried to close one door, another one opened. I installed GamBan on all my devices (phone and laptop), but I also changed my DNS settings to use CleanBrowsing Family Filter. Basically this works at the network level and blocks access to gambling domains before the site even loads, so if you try to open many casino sites they simply won’t resolve or load at all. If this is a condition of their license, (as per Gamstop they should all have signed up by last year) they may be hit with a massive fine which will make them and others think twice about saying “we’re planning to maybe sign up to it someday if it suits us” again. Posted : 29th March 2019 11:02 pm Welcome to the forum , well done for posting here, and for registering with GamStop and installing GamBan.
Posted : 21st April 2025 8:36 pm Hi Amy I put Gamban on my laptop today and finally realised I can’t gamble on anything now - I had it on my phone a few days ago but now I’m like ok that’s it 🙂 did you download it? I think you were on the chat last night? Posted : 22nd April 2025 7:46 pm Yes I was in the chat last night. I haven’t downloaded gamban yet as I’ve been at work til late but I will do it as soon as I have chance. I’ve felt more positive today about not gambling.
Posted : 22nd April 2025 10:53 pm I got my 1-2-1 support booked for next week with Gam care and looking forward to it! I was at work today rather than working from home and that made me feel a lot better 🙂 how are you doing today? Did you get round to download it?🙂 Posted : 23rd April 2025 7:03 pm Keep me posted on how you’re doing though!🙂 Posted : 23rd April 2025 7:22 pm Hi Chan, I am just looking into gamban now. I will do it through gamCare as they offer it for free which is a great incentive. I have abstained for a few days now and feel good. You have taken constructive steps to reduce the risk of relapse. It is good that you've brought it to the attention of the gambling operator and they have closed your account.
I get paid on Friday but have blocks in place so hopefully no temptation!! Hope you’re ok and doing well. Good to chat tonight in the chat room. It helps knowing that people get this. Posted : 23rd April 2025 8:59 pm Yes, good chat last night for sure!
Yes, I got the free version too which was great! As soon as I put it on my laptop that was a game changer for me! I am a couple of days too and finding it tricky but everytime I do I log on here and answer a post or read a post and it just keeps me occupied and then the urge leaves! I’m also trying to keep super busy with work etc and starting a new side hustle with an old contractor! Posted : 24th April 2025 2:31 pm I hope your good Amy 🙂 I’m officially nearly 4 days GF 🎉 having moments but trying to keep strong Posted : 26th April 2025 10:24 am I need help with this as well. Well done for being responsible and not publicising the company name here, in case that triggers other forum members to seek out that loophole themselves. Some of our forum members have layer upon layer of protection, for example, banking with banks that block gambling transactions, allowing their partner to monitor their online banking, reducing how much money they can instantly access, having parental controls on their broadband, scheduling their time with other activities.
